The overall objective of this assignment is to support MOFA through the PPBD by producing economic impact assessments which quantify (to the extent possible) the impact of proposed reform options in the Ghanaian agribusiness sector: from an overall Cost-Benefit perspective, and with respect to key stakeholders (e.g. smallholder farmers, agribusinesses, public finances, public regulatory agencies). This analysis will form part of the evidence base for the Ministry’s consideration of the proposed reform options

The assignments involvers policy analysis and development of Regulatory Impact Assessment/Coat Benefit Analysis for the following policies being implemented by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Ghana:
The draft report of findings was presented in a two days validation workshop for the stakeholders drawn from the original group in both public and private sector. The two days workshop enriched the report and the recommendations which formed the basis for the development and issue of the final report. The final report included an implementation road map for each of the reforms.
