CDC Global, LLC (CDCI), is a United States corporation with global outreach.

Internationally CDCI has offices in Kenya and Rwanda. The company has associates in various countries: in Africa the company has associate in Angola, Burundi, Ghana, Liberia, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe; in North America we have associates in the United States and its Territories, and Canada; in Europe we have associates the United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Portugal and Germany; and in Asia we have associates in India and Pakistan.

The history of the company dates back to 1997 when the founder Dr John Nguri together with other partners established Pinnacle Consultants Ltd (PCL) to provide management consulting services in Kenya and within the African region. This was the period when Kenya like most of the African countries were involved in the structural adjustments prescribed by the Breton Wood Institutions, the World Bank and the International Monetary Funds. The company was therefore involved in some of the major restructurings in the country and beyond in Africa.

Some of the major ones included the restructuring of the Tea sector in Kenya and in particular the then Kenya Tea Development Authority (KTDA), the Kenya Ports Authority, the Tanzania Habours Authority, the Kenya Railways Corporation, the Sierra Leone Port authority among others. Also the company was also involved in other reforms like the debt rationalization between the Kenya Government and its state corporations, the local government sector reforms, etc. In addition the company was key in development of various software especially in trade facilitation where it developed the first clearing and forwarding and cargo tracking system in Kenya.

In 2006 the company changed its name from PCL to CDC Consulting Group Ltd and continued trading as such until 2016 when CDCI Global LLC (CDCI) was registered in United States, with the group name changing since then.

During its 28 years of existence, CDCI has established itself as one of the leading management consulting and services delivery firm supporting governments services delivery and private sector development across the globe. Within this period the company has successfully consulted/provided technical assistance to more than 130 projects within its areas of service delivery most of them financed by our major partners including the World Bank, the European Union, USAID, African Development Bank, Trademark Africa, and various US Federal Government Agencies.

In finance and accounting services where CDCI has provided bulk of the services, we have successfully undertaken over 20 projects; technical assistance 3 projects with a combined delivery period of more than 10 years; procurement and contract management 5 projects; grant management services 3 projects; performance and fiduciary services 14 projects; local government institutional and governance services 9 projects; agribusiness value chain services 15 projects; agriculture policy and regulatory services 2 projects; investment and financing of utilities 7 projects; trade facilitation 4 projects; transport and logistics 11 projects; and private sector development 21 projects.

In Africa, the firm has undertaken successful assignments in Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi, Uganda, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Zambia, Botswana, South Africa, Ghana, Liberia, South Sudan, Mozambique, and Sierra Leone.
