Agribusiness Value Chains Services
We work with governments and development partners in developing countries in supporting smallholder farmers develop appropriate agribusiness value chains for improved production and value of their produces.
CDCI works with smallholder farmers in developing economies to develop methods they can increase the value of their produces by adding value through the various stages of production, processing and marketing. Our objectives is normally to increase smallholder farmers’ incomes by ensuring that they receive a fair share of the value generated from the sale of their crops. In some cases the development of the value to the smallholder farmer is through producer cooperative where we also assist in their development and support. In the process of developing value chains, CDCI has developed strategies for analysis and development of commodity markets including warehousing and transportation of produces. These are all considered as part and parcel of the value chains development services we offer.
