Adeolu has more than 15 years of experience as a committed agricultural economist dedicated to building the capacity of smallholder farmers in Africa (especially the youths and women) in agribusiness value chains to lift them above the economic constraints keeping them in perpetual poverty. He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, specialization in Agricultural Production Economics; M.B.A. in Finance; Phil. in Agricultural Economics, specialization in Agribusiness and Finance; and B. Agric Econ. He is a skilled Agricultural Economist, Agribusiness strategist, experienced Data Analyst, Chartered Marketer, Agribusiness Value chain Developer, Agricultural Finance expert, Project Management expert, Impact Assessment, and has skills in Monitoring and Evaluation systems especially in research and development interventions. He has vast experience of working with donors, national stakeholders and private sector on agricultural / research projects. Some of the relevant experiences to this assessment include: experience in agricultural development in the production and processing of cassava as a trigger to smallholder farm households’ development and food security in the southwestern Nigeria; experience in facilitating a
training in Liberia for the FARA on IAR4D for farmers and farmers’ groups; and experience in research on how Agricultural Savings impacted on innovative smallholder financing modelling in Oyo State in terms of a lending scheme through the use of Agricultural Cooperatives among others. He is fluent in both spoken and written English, and very good in both spoken and written French and German among other languages.
