Theophile Bama holds an International Executive Master of Business Administration (Marketing Management) from Paris Graduate School of Management. He has more than 28years of experience in dealing with agricultural markets and business development of various agricultural value chains. Theophile has been involved in the shea and other NTFP sectors in Ghana and Burkina Faso for the past 28 years. He has been working with both shea producers to improve the quality of shea produced whilst helping them to link with big international shea processing companies. As part of his engagements in Agriculture, he has worked as a certification & market development consultant. He has employed a “Step by Step for Market Access by rural producers” approach in order to facilitate relationships between producers and buyers/ processors, which process creates a sustainable business relationship between these actors in value chains. As a consultant, he has extensively been training actors on the shea, baobab, soya,
groundnuts, etc. value chains. He has experience in the development of training curriculum on organic procedures for cooperatives, on business management and organic quality processing modules. Theophile has also previously conducted organizational capacity assessment of ten (10) selected institutions in Burkina Faso in order to determine their capability to serve as partners for the implementation of AGRA interventions, and to recommend capacities building measures to help those institutions to meet their project objectives. He is computer proficient and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
